In this learning level workout you will learn about exercises for arthritis, primarily in the hands.
Arthritis is a wearing away of cartilage of a joint, which is the cushioning material between bones. Arthritis causes inflammation and irritation of the synovial lining, which produces synovial fluid which helps protect and lubricate the joints.
In the hands, pain and stiffness can occur with arthritis. These are some exercises and stretches that can be done to alleviate this pain, and help lubricate the joints and strengthen the entire hand and wrist regions.
Happy stretching!
