Standing Resistance Training For Seniors And Beginners Using Dumbbells | 25Min

S

In this exercise video Meredith will be guiding you through a beginner level, standing resistance workout using dumbbells.

Using weight like dumbbells, wrist weights or even substituted items like water bottles or cans of soup are a great way to add strengthening to your workouts. The added resistance taxes your muscles a bit more and makes them work a little harder to get the to the desired range of motion.

You don’t have to use heavy weight to get through this beginner level routine, you can always go without and still benefit from the range of motion.

This workout is all standing so be sure to keep a chair or a wall close by if you need extra balance and support. You can also substitute these moves in a chair if that works for you as well.

Remember this is a beginner level workout but also keep your water close by to stay hydrated and don’t forget to have fun!

Have a great workout!
