In this exercise video Meredith will be guiding you through an easy to follow standing low impact cardio routine called “Mountain Cardio”.
Mountain cardio follows a pattern of a series of movements using timed intervals (40 sec work, 10 sec rest) in one direction to represent going up the mountain, and then repeating them in opposite order to represent going back down the mountain. All movements are standing and can also be modified to seating as well. This is a great workout for beginners as it works both the body and the mind:) More advanced levels can also use this routine as a great warm – up or supplement to their own cardio routines.
As usual only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Take breaks when you need to and keep your water close by.
