In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a full body “Blast” workout in a HIIT style (High Intensity Interval Training) format which emphasizes periods of work and rest and that have great benefits to heart health whilst building strength at the same time.

HIIT style exercises are a great way to work both your muscle groups and cardiovascular system. In this routine Meredith is adding light weight dumbbells to the movements to add extra resistance which is great for also building strength and stability.

This is an intermediate level routine which is all standing so make sure to preview this video first if you are unsure about your level of fitness. Also remember this workout can also be modified to seated as well.

Be sure to only do movements that you are comfortable and that don’t cause you any pain or discomfort. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.
