In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through an easy to follow HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) full body workout using light weight dumbbells for added resistance.
“HIIT ” exercises are a great way to build heart strength and cardiovascular wind as it focuses on lifting and lowering your heart rate using “interval” type periods of exercise. Also adding light weights to these movements emphasizes building strength as you go.
This is a beginner level workout and the focus is on good form and proper pacing. You can also do this exercise as a seated workout for modification and limited abilities.
Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and never force anything that causes pain or discomfort. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.
