Seated HIIT Workout At Home For Seniors | Intermediate level | 25 Min

S

In this exercise video Meredith will be guiding you through a great seated HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) style routine using optional weights for resistance.

HIIT workouts are a great way to build up both your cardiovascular system and muscle strength. It combines the best of both worlds into a shorter, yet more intense workout that has great benefits when it comes to heart health.

Usually, HIIT style workouts consist of  “Time On” and “Time Off” periods where you work for a certain period and then rest for the other using a timer. This gets your heart rate up and keeps your body engaged.

For this routine Meredith is also using a timer and will lead you through each movement which you can also use weights as options. For this routine since it is an “At Home” workout we will be using water bottles for weights.

This is an intermediate level workout so remember to only do movements that are comfortable for you and never force any movements that may cause you pain or discomfort. Always keep water close by and have a great workout!
