In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a full body HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio workout using light weight dumbbells for added resistance.

HIIT exercises are a great way to both build up your cardiovascular system and add strength training for muscles, all to one workout. The benefits to HIIT exercises when done regularly are great for longer living and heart health. This is an intermediate level routine which is all standing so be sure to preview this video before beginning if you are unsure of your fitness level. If you choose to add dumbbells to your exercise, be sure to use lighter sizes: 2lbs, 4lbs or whatever is comfortable for you.

Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.
