Hello and thank you for joining us on today’s podcast!
This week we’re taking up a new topic about how to help motivate others to eat healthy. Now this is a broad statement and can be interpreted in many ways because eating healthy can mean many things.
Most importantly though is when someone you know or love is having health problems that can specifically be tied to their diet, improving ones eating habits could be much more serious than most. It’s not easy to try and get someone to embrace healthier eating because we love the foods we love! And for most this is comforting.
However, making changes to diet even if they are small changes can help improve health drastically which over time stack up to bigger wins:)
In This Podcast You Will Learn:
1). How we can help be better role models to others and help get them thinking and motivated into choosing healthier eating options occasionally.
2). Meredith’s experiences in working with fitness and health classes and people she has encountered (spouses etc) that have discussed eating healthier as a couple or their own diets.
3). How we are very attached to the foods we eat and why sometimes even a visit to the doctor for a friend or loved one isn’t always enough to get them to make changes in their diets.
4). How making small changes to diet takes time and can’t be done overnight, especially if you are working with someone who is not completely on board with adding healthier options to their diet.
5). How finding healthier (and tasty) alternatives to a lot of the foods we eat can be fun and enlightening to someone who doesn’t know about eating healthier and that it doesn’t all have to taste bland and boring:)
Thank you again for joining us on this important episode. Modifying ones diet can be a big challenge for ourselves, and even more so in others. When someone you know is having health trouble be it obesity or diabetes etc. making small changes in a diet can have great health benefits and even help save lives.
We hope you found this podcast to be helpful to you when thinking about either making changes in your diet or helping someone you know or love. We want the people we know to be around for as long as we can and sometimes helping nudge them in a direction or leading by example can go a long way.
Til the next episode!
