Hello and thank you for joining us on this episode!
This week we wanted to tackle a subject that we feel is very important to discuss. Mental and emotional exhaustion. It can affect most of us at various times in our lives and sometimes we may not even know it.
We all know that there is a very close relationship between the body and the mind and feeling exhausted mentally and emotionally directly correlates to the way we feel physically. Overcoming this state can be very challenging especially if we don’t have the things in place to help us like a doctor, therapist or even close, loved ones.
In This Episode You Will Learn:
1). Meredith’s inspiration to bring this topic to light and why we feel it is so very important to address.
2). Why mental and emotional exhaustion plays a big role in the lives of all people but also mostly in the lives of the older generation and why the stereotype about being older and having less to worry about is incorrect.
3). How being mentally and emotionally exhausted directly affects your physical well being and what the effects can be if left un-checked.
4). Some of Meredith’s best tips to seeking help and/or overcoming feelings of exhaustion. There are many things we can do everyday to take care of ourselves so that we minimize the effects of being overwhelmed in all areas of our lives.
5). How to help someone else who you feel may be struggling with this issue and how to be there for them or help them find the right help.
We hope the tips in this episode helps you if you or someone you know is struggling with mental or emotional exhaustion. If left untreated it can lead to further problems in the long run like depression and isolation. Our hope is that you find ways to overcome these feelings and hopefully the tips here will help.
Til the next episode!
