Hello and thank you for joining us on this week’s episode!
We all lead different lives and have different levels of activity but regardless of these things, we can all be prone to unexpected injury. Falls, slipping, bumping etc. These can all occur unexpectedly as we navigate our daily lives. It is something that we often take for granted because we never really take injuries seriously until they happen to you.
Luckily there are things we can do to protect ourselves from injury even when we may not realize that we are in harms way. With some of our best tips here you can better position yourself to stay healthy and active and avoid injuries altogether.
In This Episode You Will Learn:
1). Why we decided to dedicate a whole episode to this subject and how it started form a story we heard about someone falling and was unable to get help.
2). Some of Meredith’s experiences in working with clients and the many different types of unexpected injuries she encountered and how common this problem actually is.
3). How simple things like holding on to handrails while going up stairs or through walk ways can make a big difference when it comes to keeping you safe and how this is so easy to forget.
4). Why having the right footing and types of shoes or slippers can also make a big difference in safety and help you avoid slipping or falling.
5). Why “going slow” and not rushing through your activities and movements will help you stay injury free, also being aware of your surroundings and possible trip hazards close to you.
