In this exercise video Meredith is walking you through a great lower body strength training routine using ankle weights.
Ankle weights are a great tool to use when you are looking to add any kind of resistance to your workouts. They add a level of challenge to any movements no matter if you are seated or standing.
For this beginner level routine, the movements will be all done seated and are meant to build strength in the major muscle groups of your lower body. You can also use dumbbells if you don’t have ankle weights or just benefit from following along with the range of motion. Either way you will get a great lower body workout in.
Remember to use a safe and sturdy chair, only do movements that work best for you and never force anything that causes pain or discomfort. Also don’t forget to keep your water close by and have a great workout!
