In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a seated hip strengthening and stretch workout using a looped resistance band which is perfect for beginners or those who prefer seated exercises.
Building strength and flexibility in your hips is important because these muscles get used in most everyday activities. Walking, sitting down and getting up from a chair, driving, carrying weight like groceries etc. Your hip strength is crucial for success in these areas.
For this video we are using a looped resistance band for added strength building. This exercise is a seated routine so it is gentle on your knees and can be performed by most all levels of fitness. Remember to only do moves that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.
