Full Body Resistance Workout At Home For Seniors Using Every Day Items | Intermediate Level

In this workout, Meredith will be taking you through a full-body, resistance workout using everyday items that you can find in your own home.

Resistance training is an important part of keeping your body healthy and functional. Building strength will not only make you stronger but also add stabilization to everything you do.

Picking up heavy objects, walking up stairs, maneuvering through crowds or even sitting or standing all use muscles to get us moving. Strengthening these muscles is important and making sure you stay flexible while strength training is key to keeping your body healthy.

For this video, we are using regular household items for weights including a frying pan, hammer, book and a water jug. You can use just about any item from your home which is why we wanted to show you that you don’t have to use traditional weights to get a good workout!

As always only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause discomfort. Everyone has a different range of motion so only do the exercises that work for you and your body.

Also, don’t forget to drink lots of water!
