Carpal Tunnel Syndrome affects many people and is also common in aging adults. According to OrthoInfo.org, carpal tunnel is defined as:
“A common condition that causes numbness, tingling, and pain in the hand and forearm. The condition occurs when one of the major nerves to the hand — the median nerve — is squeezed or compressed as it travels through the wrist. In most patients, carpal tunnel syndrome gets worse over time.”
In this exercise video Meredith shares some useful stretches that you can do everyday to help ease the pain and discomfort of carpal tunnel syndrome. This is a seated beginner level routine and can be performed anywhere you feel comfortable. Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort.
Have a great stretch!
