In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a full body workout in both sitting and standing positions using a single dumbbell for resistance.

Resistance exercises are great for building your strength and toning all areas of your body. You should do resistance style workout at least 2 – 3 times a week if possible. Remember that you don’t have to use heavy weights to build muscle. In this video a single dumbbell is used to focus on the primary muscles being used.

This routine uses both the benefits of sitting and standing to “mix up” your body’s movements which helps keep your muscles attentive and ready. This helps build muscle more effectively.

Remember to always keep water close by and only do movements that you are comfortable with. Never force anything that may cause you pain or discomfort.
