In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a seated HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout using light wrist weights for added resistance and strength building.
HIIT workouts are great way to build both strength and cardio in one routine. They consist of periods of “work” and “rest” which are designed to keep your heart rate up throughout the workout. For this seated routine, using optional light weights will add a level of strength building to each movement which helps with everyday tasks like carrying groceries or picking up grand babies.
Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Take breaks when you need to and always keep your water close by.
