Lower body strength is important for ensuring independence and mobility. This helps when you are climbing up and down stairs, getting in and out of a car or just going for a walk. This workout is part of our “5 minute” series which focuses on safe and effective movements executed in a short amount of time.
This is an intermediate level workout so be sure to preview this video in full before attempting if you are unsure of your fitness level. Only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Take breaks when you need to and keep your water close by.
