In this video Meredith is guiding you through a quick five minute exercise routine focused on building upper body strength using light weight dumbbells.

Using dumbbells to add resistance to your workouts is a great way to help build strength and stability when used correctly. It’s important to choose a weight that you are comfortable with and that’s not too heavy for you. Since this is part of our “5 Minute” series, the movements are quick which effectively gives you a great workout in a short amount of time. This is an intermediate level routine so be sure to preview it in full before beginning.

Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.
