In this exercise video, Meredith is guiding you through a quick 5 minute seated abs routine designed to help build strength and stability in your core.

Maintaining a strong core which includes your abdominals and lower back is essential for the tasks we do everyday. Walking, sitting, driving, carrying objects, going up and down stairs etc all engage your core muscles. For this workout, Meredith is targeting the muscles in this area to help not only build strength and stability, but flexibility as well.

This is an all seated exercise so it can be performed by those who may have limitations or who prefer to exercise in the seated position.

Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Take breaks when you need to and always keep your water close by.
