20 MIN Standing Resistance Exercises For Seniors With Weights | Intermediate Level


In this video Meredith is taking you through an intermediate level, full body standing resistance workout using light weight dumbbells.

Incorporating resistance into your training (dumbbells, resistance bands etc.) is a great way to challenge yourself and add an extra layer of fitness to your movements. You don’t even have to add heavy weights, just a little resistance will go a long way. Substitue bottles of water or cans of soup if you don’t have weights on hand.

This is a standing workout so you will get to work all areas of the body in just 20 min. Upper body, lower body and core. Starting off with short cardio routines to warm up your body and a relaxing stretch at the end to cool down.

As always only do movements that are comfortable for you. Go at your own pace and take rests when you need them. Don’t forget to drink lots of water!
